Using Verve AI during an interview can give you the competitive edge you need, but it’s important to stay discreet, especially when screen sharing is necessary. Here’s how to do it smoothly while minimizing visibility to your interviewer.

1. Share a Specific Tab Instead of the Full Screen

When screen sharing is required, always opt to share a specific browser tab rather than your entire screen. This ensures that Verve AI and any other background applications remain hidden from the interviewer. Zoom: Select “Share Screen,” then choose the individual browser tab you want to share. Google Meet: Click “Present,” then select “A Tab” and pick the one you want to display. Microsoft Teams: Use the “Share” button and choose “Window” or the specific tab. This method keeps Verve AI safely out of sight while still allowing you to showcase what’s necessary for the interview.

2. Use Two Monitors for Full-Screen Sharing

If your interview absolutely requires full-screen sharing, consider using a dual-monitor setup. Here’s how it works: Keep Verve AI running on your secondary monitor while sharing only your primary monitor. This way, you have discreet access to the copilot’s responses without them being visible to your interviewer.

3. Use Your Phone as a Backup Option

If a second monitor isn’t available, you can access Verve AI on your phone. While this allows you to keep Verve AI completely off your shared screen, be aware that this method may slightly reduce your ability to multitask efficiently.

For the best discreet experience, we highly recommend using our Desktop App with Stealth Mode enabled. This feature keeps Verve AI completely invisible to your interviewer even when sharing your entire screen.
Stealth Mode is only available in the Desktop App. Learn more about how to enable and use it in our Stealth Mode guide.
