What is Click-Through Mode?

Click-Through Mode makes the Verve AI copilot window non-interactive, allowing your mouse clicks and keyboard input to pass through to applications behind it. The copilot remains visible on your screen as a reference overlay while you work with other tools underneath.
Desktop App only - Click-Through Mode requires the Desktop App. Not available in Browser or Mobile versions.

How Click-Through Mode Works

When Click-Through Mode is enabled:
  • The copilot window becomes non-interactive
  • Your clicks pass through to applications behind it
  • You can type, click, and interact with apps underneath
  • The copilot remains visible as a reference overlay
  • You can still see copilot suggestions in real-time
When Click-Through Mode is disabled (default):
  • The copilot window is interactive
  • You can click, scroll, and interact with the copilot normally
  • The copilot window blocks interaction with apps behind it

How to Enable Click-Through Mode

Using the Hotkey

Press Cmd + Shift + P on Mac or Ctrl + Shift + P on Windows to toggle Click-Through Mode on/off.
The hotkey works instantly - no need to navigate menus or restart your session.

Best Practices

Use Click-Through Mode together with Window Transparency to create a subtle, see-through reference overlay that doesn’t interfere with your workflow.
Place the copilot window in a corner or side of your screen where it’s visible but doesn’t cover critical UI elements of your interview platform.
Use Cmd + Shift + P (Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + P (Windows) to quickly switch between interactive and click-through modes based on whether you need to interact with the copilot or your other applications.
Get comfortable with the toggle hotkey before your interview so you can switch modes seamlessly during live sessions.
